Ww Greener Shotguns Serial Numbers
Dec 14, 2017 - Safety mechanism. Produced by W. Serial Number 78075 you can also make out the words 'Empire Model'. BNP/RNP markings.
Here's the problem. W W Greener started making shotguns in 1829 and is still making them today. That's a lot of shotguns.
You haven't given enough information to tell WHICH shotgun you have. Let's start with your post. You said W.E. Greener's, but the company is W W Greener.
What does your gun actually say? Next, does it say Birmington or Birmingham? Because that matters. Download whatsapp for samsung galaxy s3 mini. Greener was in Birmingham.
You need to look on the underside of the barrels and on the flat of the receiver and find the proof marks. Then, you need to carefully describe, or provide a good photo of EVERY ONE of the proof marks and any other marks on the underside of the barrel and on the receiver flat. And if there are any other small odd shaped marks on the gun, you get to describe THOSE too. Without that it's impossible to date the gun or identify the model. Measure the length of the barrels to the nearest quarter inch.
Describe the trigger(s) describe any marks on the side of the receiver. Here's the other problem. In 1876, the firm introduced the Treble Wedge-Fast Hammerless Gun, otherwise known as the 'Facile Princeps'. Greener company restarted production of Facile Princeps guns in 1998. So, you've mis-read the stamping on the barrel.
It's treble wedge fast, not triebtie. Last problem: There are a lot of Belgian copies of Grenner guns. Again, the proofs on the underside of the barrels will identify that. Take a look at this gunbroker auction for a upper-grade Greener wedge-fast from the 1880's. The description along the left-hand side of that auction is the MINIMUM that you need to describe the condition of the gun.
Finally, if you call W W Greener with the gun in front of you, or email them good quality photos of your gun, they will date it for you for free. There were a LOT of Belgian fakes. They have good records all the way back.
Email and phone number at their web site: (Don't forget the time difference) Now, having done all of that, to tell you that there's no way to get you a value, the answer is, depending on what you have, and the condition, which you have not described, Greener shotguns sell for one thousand to fifty thousand dollars. So, it's probably worth your while to take the time to do the DETAILED work to identify the gun. Hi there how much do u know about w.w. Greener I have one n don't know anything about. Will be appreciate W.
